| Common Name | Scientific Name | Category |
|---|---|---|
| Carpenter Ant | Camponotus spp. | Ants |
| German Cockroach | Blattella germanica | Cockroaches |
| Silverfish | Lepisma saccharina | Occasional Invaders |

Application Method
Inject liquid or foam insecticide into structural voids including wall voids, floor voids, ceiling voids, and hollow block foundations. Drill small access holes and inject treatment material using void injection equipment. For liquid treatments: use low-pressure injector to apply residual insecticide throughout void. For foam: inject expanding foam carrying insecticide that fills void space. Particularly effective for hard-to-reach harborage areas where pests hide but conventional treatments cannot reach. Treat voids where pest activity observed, evidence of harborage found, or as preventive measure in high-risk areas. Common applications include: carpenter ant nest treatment in wall voids, cockroach harborage elimination, and termite treatment of block foundations.
Timing
Treat when pest activity detected in voids or during comprehensive treatment programs.
Frequency
Quarterly for commercial accounts with recurring void harborage issues. One-time for residential nest elimination.
Preparation Required
Identify void locations with pest activity. Use stud finder to plan drilling locations. Have appropriate injection equipment and materials ready. Select insecticide appropriate for target pest.
Follow-up Required
Seal all drill holes with spackle or caulk. Document treated areas. Monitor for continued pest activity. Schedule follow-up inspection to verify effectiveness.
Safety Precautions
- Requires licensed pest management professional
- Drill carefully to avoid wiring and plumbing
- Use stud finder to locate wall studs and cavities
- Do not over-apply - voids have limited volume
- Ensure adequate ventilation
- Seal holes after treatment
