Application Method

Use a vacuum equipped with a High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter that traps 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns or larger. Vacuum all harborage areas including: cracks and crevices, behind appliances, inside cabinets, along baseboards, inside drawer runners, around pipes and electrical outlets. Use crevice tool attachments to reach into tight spaces. Vacuum slowly to ensure pickup of eggs and small insects. Pay special attention to areas with visible droppings, shed skins, or live pests.

Timing

Use as initial cleanout before other treatments. Can be used any time pests are observed.

Frequency

Initial heavy cleanout, then weekly until infestation is eliminated. Monthly for maintenance in sensitive areas.

Preparation Required

Remove clutter from areas to be vacuumed. Have replacement vacuum bags ready. Identify all harborage locations.

Follow-up Required

Immediately seal bag and dispose in exterior trash. Apply gel baits or other treatments after vacuuming. Continue sanitation and exclusion efforts.

Safety Precautions

  • Seal and dispose of vacuum bag immediately in outdoor trash
  • Do not vacuum up large amounts of water or liquids
  • Avoid vacuuming sharp objects that could puncture bag
  • Check that HEPA filter is properly installed
  • Clean vacuum exterior after use in heavily infested areas
