Application Method

Place glue boards in protective monitoring stations along walls, in corners, behind equipment, under sinks, near entry points, and in areas of suspected pest activity. For rodents, use large glue boards or rodent-specific stations. For insects, use smaller glue boards folded into tents or placed in low-profile monitors. Number each station and mark location on facility map. During each service visit, inspect boards and record pest catches on service report - document species, number, and life stage. Analyze catch data over time to identify trends, hot spots, and treatment effectiveness. Replace boards when surface is 50% covered or monthly minimum. Glue boards serve dual purpose: monitoring tool to detect pests and measure population levels, and mechanical control to remove pests from environment.

Timing

Install during initial service as part of IPM program. Maintain throughout service agreement.

Frequency

Inspect during every service visit (typically monthly for commercial, quarterly for residential). Replace boards monthly or when 50% covered. Analyze data quarterly to identify trends.

Preparation Required

Create facility map showing station locations. Number stations sequentially. Prepare service report form for recording catches. Identify optimal placement locations based on inspection and customer input.

Follow-up Required

Record all catches with species identification and count. Photograph unusual catches for identification. Analyze catch patterns to guide treatment decisions. Move stations to new locations if no catches after 2 months. Use data to demonstrate program effectiveness to customer.

Safety Precautions

  • Place out of reach of children and pets
  • Use protective stations to prevent non-target catches
  • Wear gloves when handling used boards
  • Dispose of boards with catches in sealed plastic bags
  • Humanely euthanize any live rodents caught before disposal
