Application Method

Apply boric acid dust directly into wall voids, attics, and other inaccessible harborage areas using a hand duster, bulb duster, or squeeze bottle. CRITICAL: Apply a thin layer only - cockroaches avoid large clumps and heavy applications are less effective. Ideal application is barely visible "dusting." Squeeze dust into cracks and holes and underneath and behind large appliances and cabinets - wherever roaches are active. Target areas include: behind walls before sealing during renovations, inside wall voids through outlet openings (cover removed), under cabinets into wall voids, in attics along joists, inside soffits, and in crawl spaces. Afterward, seal up crevices, cracks and holes with caulk or spackle. Do not worry if you see cockroaches after applying dusts - they can take several days or weeks to work. Never apply where dust could become airborne in occupied spaces or contact food surfaces.

Timing

Most effective when applied during renovations when walls are open. Can be applied into existing wall voids through openings.

Frequency

One-time application provides long-lasting control (years) if kept dry. Does not need reapplication unless disturbed or removed.

Preparation Required

Identify wall voids and inaccessible spaces to treat. Plan application during renovations when walls are open if possible. Ensure good ventilation. Have appropriate dusting equipment (bulb duster or squeeze bottle).

Follow-up Required

Clean any visible dust from accessible surfaces. Replace outlet covers. Seal wall openings used for application. Continue monitoring for pest activity. Dust remains effective indefinitely if kept dry.

Safety Precautions

  • Requires licensed pest management professional for commercial applications
  • Wear dust mask (safety goggles when applying) and gloves during application
  • Keep children and pets away during application
  • Never apply to exposed surfaces or where it can become airborne
  • Do not apply near food or food preparation areas
  • Clean up any visible residue in accessible areas
