Stinging InsectsDefensive hybrid honeybee that looks nearly identical to European honeybees but exhibits much more aggressive behavior. Requires special precautions and mandatory personal protective equipment during nest removal. More defensive of territory and pursues threats farther from hive. Found in southern and southwestern United States. Important to identify before removal attempts.
