Application Method

Use power sprayer (gas or electric) with 50-300 gallon tank to apply liquid insecticide to exterior surfaces, foundation, vegetation, and turf. Spray foundation walls (3-6 feet up), under eaves and overhangs, around windows and doors, and on vegetation around perimeter. For mosquito and tick control, spray turf, ornamental plants, mulched areas, and underside of shrub and tree foliage where pests rest during day. Use appropriate nozzle for target area - coarse spray for turf and vegetation, pin-stream for targeted treatments. Maintain consistent application rate per product label. Power equipment allows treatment of large properties efficiently.

Timing

Apply as part of regular service routes. For mosquito/tick control, begin in early spring when pests emerge. Apply in early morning or evening when beneficial insects are less active.

Frequency

Every 30-60 days for general pest control. Every 21-30 days for mosquito/tick programs during season. Frequency depends on product residual and pest pressure.

Preparation Required

Inspect property to identify treatment areas and areas to avoid (ornamental ponds, vegetable gardens, play equipment). Close windows and doors. Remove or cover pet food/water bowls. Ensure power sprayer is properly calibrated and maintained. Mix product to correct dilution rate.

Follow-up Required

Allow treated surfaces to dry completely (2-4 hours). Document treatment areas and products used. Monitor for pest activity reduction. Schedule next treatment based on product residual and customer needs. Clean and maintain power spray equipment.

Safety Precautions

  • Requires licensed pest management professional

  • Keep people and pets out of treatment area until surfaces are dry
  • Wear appropriate PPE including respirator if required by product label
